1) Introduction

RoarCut ("we," "us," or "our") operates at www.roarcut.app. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you when you use our website and video-processing service.

2) Data We Collect

• Account information: your name, email address, profile image, account identifiers, and sign-in provider details. Authentication is handled by our authentication provider; we do not receive your Google password.
• Video and generated content: YouTube URLs you submit, related video metadata, transcripts, processing instructions, generated clips, captions, and job history.
• Billing information: subscription status, purchased processing minutes, invoices, and transaction identifiers. Stripe processes payment-card details; we do not store full card numbers.
• Usage and technical data: feature interactions, browser and device information, IP address, logs, diagnostics, and security events.
• Support communications: messages, attachments, and other information you provide when requesting help.
• YouTube API data: if you connect YouTube, we store encrypted OAuth tokens, the permission Google granted, upload status, and identifiers and links for videos you explicitly publish through RoarCut. We do not receive or store your Google password.

3) How We Use Information

• Provide accounts, process videos, generate clips and captions, and deliver requested features
• Process subscriptions, top-ups, invoices, and transaction records
• Respond to support requests and send service, billing, security, and account notices
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot errors, analyze product usage, and improve service quality
• Protect the service, enforce our terms, and prevent fraud, abuse, or illegal activity
• Comply with applicable legal obligations and resolve disputes

4) How We Share Information

• Service providers: companies that support authentication, hosting, storage, video processing, AI and transcription, payments, email, analytics, error monitoring, and customer support.
• Legal and safety: authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or enforce our agreements.
• Business transfers: relevant parties during a financing, acquisition, merger, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
• With your direction: when you ask us to share information or otherwise consent.

We do not sell your personal data.

5) YouTube API Services

RoarCut uses YouTube API Services when you connect a channel and ask us to upload a clip. We request only the YouTube upload permission and use it only to perform uploads you confirm. Your use of this feature is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

You can disconnect YouTube from the Publishing connections page. This revokes the stored token and deletes RoarCut's stored YouTube-authorized data and upload records. You can also revoke access from your Google Account security permissions. Disconnecting from RoarCut does not delete videos stored by YouTube; manage or delete those videos in YouTube Studio.

6) Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7) Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Contact us at support@roarcut.app to exercise a privacy right. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

9) Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain legitimate business and security records, resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax, accounting, or reporting obligations. YouTube authorization data is deleted when you disconnect YouTube, revoke access, or request deletion, as soon as possible and within the period required by YouTube's policies. You may request account deletion, subject to required legal and security exceptions.

10) International Processing

Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.

11) Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

12) Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our service or legal obligations change. We will publish the revised policy here and update the date at the top of the page.
